On July 15, 2014, Nanma Charitable Foundation visited Dandwalgaon in Mokhada Taluka, Maharashtra, to launch an initiative aimed at supporting and empowering tribal communities in rural areas.
As the first phase of this four-part initiative, the team introduced a weekly nutritional programme providing eggs, bananas, chocolates, and chips to 200 students. The team also distributed school bags, slates, pencil box kits, and more than 1,000 notebooks to children studying up to Class 4, helping them access essential resources for their education. The initiative received an encouraging response from the village sarpanch and the teachers, who appreciated the team's efforts and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
With the subsequent phases planned for August, October, and January, the foundation hoped to extend its support by distributing school uniforms, utensils, benches, desks, and other essential resources. This initiative marked an important step towards improving children's access to nutrition and education while supporting the broader needs of the rural tribal community.
