On May 20, 2013, Nanma Charitable Foundation visited Thanal Balbhavan at Mayannur, Kerala, where we distributed food to around 40 orphaned and underprivileged children. The children, ranging in age from just six months to twelve years, came from different backgrounds, each with a story of their own.
During our visit, we learned about the difficult circumstances some of these children had faced at such a young age. Among them was a baby girl who, we were told, had been abandoned by her parents at birth. We also met two children whose lives had been deeply affected by family circumstances and parental abandonment. Despite the hardships they had experienced, spending time with the children gave us an opportunity to share warmth, kindness, and encouragement. We interacted with each of them, offering reassuring words and encouraging them to remain hopeful and look forward to a brighter future.
The visit was a reminder that every child deserves love, care, security, and the opportunity to grow up with hope and dignity. For Nanma Charitable Foundation, this initiative was not merely about distributing food but also about extending compassion and bringing a little happiness into the lives of children who needed it most.
