COVID-19 Relief Kits Distribution

Activity note

Nanma Charitable Foundation recently organised its second round of relief activities for families affected by COVID-19.

On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, May 1, 2020, the team distributed 150 kits of daily essentials namely onion, potato, tomato, carrot, beans, cabbage, cauliflower, methi, masalas(adarak, karipatha, dhaniya, mirchi) etc to as many as 150 families living in Irani Chawl, Goma Patil Chawl, Pandu Patil Chawl and Kumbar Chawl in Netivaligaon, Kalyan East, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The families which included kids and senior citizens were mostly daily wage labourers, rickshaw drivers and underprivileged members. These families have been struggling to arrange basic needs without a regular income since the lockdown was first announced on March 24, 2020 and may further require consistent efforts like these to keep them away from hunger and poverty. On behalf of Nanma, we'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the cause.
